Open Air Cinema 2026

Save the date: From June 12 to 22, 2026, it's time again for OPEN AIR cinema in front of the HfG. For the 7th time, we invite you to enjoy the summer nights with us in the fresh air, with hot dogs (including vegan options!), lots of popcorn, and great movies.

Every evening from 8 p.m., you can enjoy a pre-show program with DJs, a bar, and snacks. Our film program then starts at 9:15 p.m. We will bring the debut films of many greats in film history to life on our inflatable screen with outstanding 35mm projection. Whether it's a wild Friday night with Mad Max or drifting away with Jarmusch's Permanent Vacation - we really have something for everyone. We'll be showing loud and quiet films, old and new, and of course our cult sneak preview is a must. As every year, there will be selected prizes for everyone who guesses which cult film is coming up.
