And the Kino Award 2026 goes to …
We’re thrilled to share some very special news with you: In 2026, the Blauer Salon Cinema was once again honored with the Kinematheksverbund Film Award in the “Cinema That Looks Back” category; this time taking second place! 🎉
In 2024 we won first place in the same category. We are delighted that our work has once again been recognized within three years. Above all, we see this award as a tribute to the ongoing dedication of everyone who brings our student cinema at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design to life.
Since our founding in 2016, we have established ourselves as a place where film history remains alive. Working with 35-mm and 16-mm film formats, maintaining analog projection technology, and passing on the art of classic projection are key components of our program.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to this award! As a student organization, the Blaue Salon thrives on the ideas and volunteer efforts of its members, supporters, and guests.
