Arthur Langerman is Belgian, Jewish, a jeweller, and has dedicated his life to the collection of antisemitic images. In about 60 years he has gathered over 10.000 antisemitic objects. Where do the widespread stereotypes of Jews come from? And why do anti-Jewish stereotypes persist to this day, spreading hatred and harassment around the world? The documentary accompanies the collector to various places in search of answers.
Event in cooperation with the Department of Art History at the HfG Karlsruhe.
The setting is on a floating platform where a group of evenly and carefully placed men live. Each man is aware that the platform is not stable and in order not to fall to their deaths, they maintain a careful balance of weight to prevent the platform from tipping too far and cause them all to fall.
