Merry Celebration!
When the final curtain falls at the Blauer Salon for this year, we know: the scent of cookies fills the air, outside something sparkles somewhere between snowflake and rain, and we get to invite you to the cinema one last time this year – stylishly, cozily, and with a hint of anticipation for everything to come.
Drei Haselnüsse may be someone else’s game – but to close out the year, we’re screening Festen along with a charming little short film, and because Christmas is the season of surprises, we’re even getting special guests: the curators of the legendary 2008 Oh Tannenbaum exhibition will join us in person, bringing stories, charm, and a guaranteed sprinkle of Christmas magic.
As we sip mulled wine, tea, or simply good spirits together, we cast a warm glance back over a year full of wonderful cinema evenings, unexpected conversations in the foyer, and that special cineaste-Christmas atmosphere that only happens when you’re here. And because everything would be only half as nice without you, our audience, we want to give you a big virtual hug and say thank you – for your loyalty, your laughter, your questions, your patience during film glitches, and simply for being here.
Before we head off into the holidays, we wish you a wonderfully relaxing Christmas season, plenty of light in the December gray, and a joyful slide into the New Year. Come in well, rest up, and stay with us – 2026 is already waiting with fresh films and new stories we can’t wait to share with you.
