Nachtwache and Federal Congress
We are delighted to be part of the Federal Congress of German Communal Cinemas this coming weekend. The congress is hosted by our friends at the Kinemathek Karlsruhe and on Saturday we are offering a night full of experimental short films from almost 100 years of cinema history - come along to the NACHTWACHE!
From December 6 to 8, 2024, the Federal Congress of Municipal Cinemas will take place in Karlsruhe under the motto “The Future is Now”. This conference offers a platform for exchange and networking within the municipal cinema landscape in Germany. The focus will be on topics such as sustainable development, municipal partnerships and global responsibility. In addition to the Kinemathek Karlsruhe and the Akademischer Filmclub am KIT, the Kino im Blauen Salon will also be involved in the supporting program. All participants and Karlsruhe cineastes are invited to the experimental film night “Nachtwache” in the Blauer Salon on December 7. Here you can expect experimental 16mm short films from 100 years of film history in an endless loop all night long, accompanied by live DJ music and fresh drinks.
