The Blue Salon is just so blue! It makes me feel… well, Kind of Blue! It’s that jazzy vibe, and there’s only one thing we all want: Jazz in the Blue Salon! For the third time in a row this winter semester, the curtain stays closed while the stage opens up for jazz—and as Helge says: for jazz… jazz… jazz!
Grab your instruments and come on by—the stage is open to everyone, because tonight anything goes. In jazz, there’s no right or wrong, all you need is swing, baby! As always, hosted by Moritz, Philip, and Jason—cinema border-crossers and true jazz cats. Look forward to the obligatory glass of wine, a slice of 18-month-aged cheese, and plenty of groove: from jazz standards to spontaneous improvisations to jam sessions that drift into funk, hip-hop, and neo-soul. Whether amateur or pro, ukulele, triangle, or just good vibes—our Open Stage is open to all!
Backline with drums, piano, bass, guitar, and amps is provided.
Since its inception, the session has taken place under the patronage of Miles Davis and the following motto: “I'll play it first, and tell you what it is, later.”
