Open Air Cinema
The team from Kino im Blauen Salon has been organizing an open-air cinema since 2019. On the lawn in front of the HfG, there is a week of great films with a fun supporting program, drinks, entertaining moderation, film puzzles, etc. Usual HfG quality. The meadow is ready for your picnic blankets, deckchairs, sofas - you can get creative. In case of rain, we have to react spontaneously - just check the website for the current situation.

Where is the Open Air Cinema ?
As the title suggests, the HfG OPEN AIR CINEMA is located in front of the HfG, more precisely on the meadow between the HfG/ZKM and the Federal Prosecutor's Office.
Acces
By public transport:
From the main station with Tram line 2 (to “Siemensallee über ZKM”), get off at „ZKM“, or with Bus line 55 (to Kühler Krug), get off at „Lorenzstraße/ZKM“.
By car:
From the A5 motorway, exit Karlsruhe Mitte, take the southern by-pass, exit 4 ZKM, onto Brauerstraße direction city center, turn left at the second traffic lights onto Südendstraße, the first street on the right is Lorenzstraße.
Parking Spaces:
There are about 700 parking spaces available in the paid car park. The »ZKM« car park can be reached via Südendstraße 44, where two charging stations are available for electric cars – while one station is reserved for cars from »Stadtmobil«, the other station can be used by all garage parkers.
Where Can I Get Tickets?
Admission to our open-air cinema is free, there are no tickets in this sense, you only need to reserve a seat and the rule here is: first come, first served! So be there in good time!
What's Going On before the Film starts?
This year, too, there will be a lot going on on the lawn in front of the HfG long before the movie starts. From 8 pm, our bar and food team will be giving it their all, with drinks, snacks, fresh grilled food (all vegan too), popcorn, nachos and much more. In addition, our cool DJ team will introduce you to the world of movies every day, a kind of auditory warm-up from 8 pm! And as soon as dusk sets in, there are experimental short films to watch, presented live on the lawn by our 16mm projectionist, updated daily and accompanied by our DJ team as the mood takes you.
