When the curtain in the Blue Salon stays closed and a grand piano suddenly appears on stage, it can only mean one thing: it's time to unpack the instruments and bring the “Blue” back to the Blue Salon. We're talking, of course, about our beloved open-stage evening, Jazz im Blauen Salon, now taking place for the fourth time.
Join us for an evening of jazz standards, spontaneous improvisation, and jam sessions spanning funk, hip-hop, and neo-soul, all set in the velvet-blue atmosphere of our cinema. The open stage is open to everyone: amateurs and professionals alike, young or old, whether you play the double bass or the triangle—every voice, every instrument, and every musical idea is welcome. After all, jazz isn't about right or wrong; it's about the moment, listening to one another, and finding the groove together.
And what could pair better with that than a glass of wine or a piece of well-aged cheese?
Die Session findet seit Gründung unter der Schirmherrschaft von Miles Davis und dem folgendem Motto statt: "I'll play it first, and tell you what it is, later."
